The busy summer for the Cultural Gardens is a wonderful memory, but that doesn’t mean we’re in hibernation as winter nears.
The individual gardens and the Cultural Gardens Federation (which represents all of the Gardens) have projects and events underway for the community to enjoy.
- On Sunday, Dec. 10, we’re hosting a fun holiday party for one and all, featuring caroling, hot chocolate, cookies and tree decorating. We’ll top off the event by lighting the tree on our stage at the Centennial Peace Plaza. Come with your family, friends and guests.
- We are working on a BIG project to create a self-guided audio tour of the Cultural Gardens and kicking it off with a Giving Tuesday campaign. When it’s completed, everyone will be able to learn about each garden, and the gardens overall, with a mere swipe of their phones. Please consider a donation through this website.
- The French Cultural Garden has begun construction, and its first phase will consist of a bike rack, signage and landscaping. Stay tuned for information on future phases.
- The British Cultural Garden has installed a base for its sundial and will be putting in the sundial itself very soon.
- Many of our other gardens are decorating for the holidays, so be sure to take a stroll or drive through Rockefeller Park during this winter season.
See you soon!
